Testing Dates

Students enrolled in End of Course Examination Program (EOCEP or EOC) courses will participate in the state’s required assessments during May. The End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) is a statewide assessment program of end-of-course tests for gateway courses awarded units of credit in English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The EOCEP encourages instruction in the specific standards for the courses, encourages student achievement, and documents the level of students’ mastery of the academic standards. The State Board of Education has defined the gateway courses as Algebra 1, Intermediate Algebra, Biology 1, English 2, and United States History and the Constitution. Because your child is enrolled in a gateway course listed above, they must take the EOCEP. The EOCEP examination scores count 20 percent in the calculation of the student’s final grade.  

During the test, students will not be allowed to be in possession of any electronic devices that can be used for communicating, timing, creating images, or storing images. These devices will be collected by the Testing Administrator and returned after testing has been completed. Testing will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. It is important that your child is present, on time for all scheduled testing, and gets a good night sleep. Students will not be allowed to enter the testing site once testing has begun and will be placed on a make-up list.  Please avoid making appointments and other out-of-school functions that may interfere with the testing schedule below.
